Trippin': San Antonio - Arneson River Theatre

On our walk back to the hotel after our dinner of fajitas at the Iron Cactus, we stumbled upon the Arneson River Theatre where a dress rehearsal was taking place. A bunch of kids were doing all these Latin dances. So young but so talented. We found a place to sit and enjoyed the performance for about thirty minutes. When we got up to leave, I told big poppa that we need to go take dance lessons so we can move like them. I don't know what it is, but lately, I've been wanting to go out dancing, even though my lazy arse has missed some opportunities. And by dancing I don't mean clubbing. Totally diff. Maybe it's cos I had such a good time at the La Roux concert. Ionno.

For mother's day, the fam and I went to eat at the House of Bowls. It was my idea cos someone told me about how good the chicken wings were and someone also told me about some waffle thing with ice-cream and fresh fruits and condensed milk. Whoa! I know it seems like I picked this restaurant for myself but hey, you know what, I don't even miss a beat anymore when it comes down to people not caring or knowing where they want to go eat. You don't know? You don't care? Okay then. This is where we're going. Hah. The place serves typical Hong Kong style food. And that's the kind of Chinese food I like to eat. None of that mainland weird stuff or that Americanized buffet/pei wei/pf chang's nonsense. The wings that I was supposed to order was salt and pepper wings but I ordered the one with onion and green onion instead. It was still good but not great. We ordered like a gazillion dishes and the bill was still less than a hundred bucks. Can't beat that!

Musik Mundi: Glee

I am a Glee fan. Maybe not a Gleek but definitely a fan. And I love their version of Journey's, Don't Stop Believin'. I can't say I'm much of Journey fan since Don't Stop Believin' is prolly the only song that I really know of theirs.

Trippin': San Antonio - Iron Cactus

For dinner on our second night in San Antonio, we ate at the Iron Cactus off of the riverwalk. There would be a lot of eating on the riverwalk during our stay. I can honestly say I'm pretty tired of the riverwalk. By the second day, I was already sick of Mexican food and all of it's Tex-Mex counterparts even though this was prolly just going to be our second time eating Mexican. However, the fajitas here were pretty darn good. Most of us ordered the fajitas, chicken fajitas for me. Only big poppa opted to get something else. We're both not huge on Mexican food. This couple that we had just met told us to order the Consuelo, which was this massive drink in a bowl that had all kinds citrus in it. It tasted a lot like Trudy's Mexican martini or whatever it's called. After a couple of sips I had a nice but tame little buzz going. Speaking of taming, the riverwalk really needs to enforce some kind of fly repellent system. We spent so much time at a lot of the restaurants constantly swatting flies away and off of our food. Yuck!
