The rain continued it's relentless drizzle as miss flowerchild and i made our way towards the Vietnam War Memorial. The gray skies created an appropriate setting to match the somberness that washes over as history is remembered and respect is paid to those who lost their lives. We actually walked right past the memorial at first. The rain had soaked the engraved names, which made them blend into the stone wall.
Some residuals from my trip to the woodland's. I sure know how to spread these blogs apart and just waste time now don't i? It's the internal organized freak in me. I can't willingly just post everything in one giant blob without categorizing everything. FREAK!
You want a really greasy but delicious and juicy burger? Try Bernie's Burger Bus. Big poppa and i stopped by to get lunch from here when they were parked outside of that Inversion coffee place. I can't remember which burger big poppa got but he thot it was really good. Since i don't eat beef, they made me some kind of crazy grilled cheese with bacon and lots of bread. I ate only a little bit of it cos it was even too greasy for me! But it was good. Their fries were really good. Truffle laced hand-cut fries w/ parmesan and green onions. Yum! I would stop by just to get that!

As some of you may already know, Rachael Yamagata will always have a special place in my heart cos her album was the first one that big poppa bought for me. And his attempt at trying to find Worn Me Down for me was prolly the first sign that i knew he was interested in little old moi. Furious blush and girly giggle. So it's been about three years since her last album. This new album, Chesapeake, will be released in October but cos i was an eager beaver, i sought out her first song that she's putting out. It's alright. The music in this album is going more towards the alterna-electro-pop rather than keeping with her old style of heavy piano-guitar almost jazz like appeal that i loved. I already know Starlight isn't going to be a favorite but it's worth listening to just get to the chorus part. When The Hotel Cafe tour rolled through, she was missing from the houston line-up. But guess what?!? She's scheduled to be in houston december 3rd! YAY! BUT BUT BUT. It's at fitzgerald's. Ugh. When i was in middle school, I associated fitzgerald's as being the place where people did cocaine in the bathrooms. I'm pretty hesitant about going but as of right now, i'm really itching to go ... miss antsymama! you down girl?!?

The Woodland's town center has this really cool grocery store called Hubbell & Hudson. It's like a fancier whole foods. It has a lot of different products you can't find at your normal grocer's. It's fun just to walk around and grab all this stuff that you want and then in putting them back in the end when rationale sets in.
