I am back posting. This week has been nothing short of hectic. I won't elaborate on who Landon Pigg is cos I really don't know. But I do know that he's had several songs featured in television shows and some movies too. Falling In Love At A Coffee Shop was in some jewelry commercial. It's such a sweet song that I think every girl would love to hear from their guy.

I've heard rumors that the wait for Juan In A Million in Austin could be super long. Luckily when we arrived, we waited only about fifteen minutes. I'm not too big on Mexican food so I would have had to veto this place if the wait had been any longer. I think most of us got some version of their 'don juan' legendary tacos. HUGE HEAPINGS! And super cheap. This could and maybe should definitely be shared. It was pretty good and flavorful. We also ordered this huge plate of nachos to share. And this was like minutes after we had just ate at lucky j's. For food, there's always room. Haha. Adam Richman featured Juan In A Million on his Man vs Food show before. He took on the breakfast taco challenge where he had to consume eight of the don juans. Keep in mind that I could only eat less than half of my order. Maybe half if I didn't just eat some chicken and waffles. Those who know me know i can eat! Adam failed at the challenge. Some skinny asian dood from hong kong is the record holder for eating seven tacos on one sitting. Representin'!

There's nothing like eating a good and fatty meal after a nice jog/walk at the park. We're breaking all the rules but life's too short to not indulge. Ya git me right?!? A friend of Queenie's had just mentioned that she ate at Tan Ba Le and had this delicious meal that consisted of cubes of marinated filet mignon on a sizzling skillet with two fried eggs. Doesn't that just make you HUNGRY! This is dish is called bo ne. It's not cheap. Maybe around ten bucks or so? You get french bread, this salad like side, a sauce cup with pate and vietnamese butter. And then it's kinda like make your own banh mi. The marination on the meat is really good. I didn't eat the meat but tasted the sauce. I couldn't stop eating the bread with the pate and butter. Haha. I order a banh mi for myself and it wasn't really that good. So I would recommend only coming here for the bo ne.
Meet Gau's and Queenie's baby girl, Tyler. She's super good and happy during the day and then turns into angry baby at night. Not sure what it is but luckily it was day time while we did the commute to and from dallas so she was being her sweet self. Putting her to sleep at night is another story. Omg I'm so tired. Long dinner with friends that lasted until midnight. And now I have to deal with rodeo traffic on the way home. No wait. I made happy hour plans. All is good again. Hmm. I think tyler looks more like papa.
I don't really like carbonated drinks but I will crave it from time to time. I especially don't really like Ramune, but who doesn't like the novelty of opening one? I love the marble action fizzing thing that happens. I can be quite easily fascinated and entertained sometimes.
One by one, I'm checking off the food trucks in Austin. On my last trip, we went to Lucky J's for brunch. It was actually part one of our brunch. Part two would be Juan In A Million. The fried chicken is super good. Nice and crunchy and really nicely seasoned so it has a lot of flavor. The waffle however was disappointing. I like my waffles to have a nice crunch to it. Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. I like a lot of things in life like that. Haha. The waffle here when I was presented with it was soft and almost soggy. Not so good. Out of everyone that I was with, I was the only that liked butter with my waffle. Ugh. I hate being around healthy eaters and dieters. So even though it was me against four, I'm pretty sure they're the weird ones. Haha.
