Shoes: Adonya

A super long time ago, I bought these espadrille wedge sandals from Baker's that were literally glued to my feet. I LOVED them. I wore them all the time cos I felt they went well with casual and semi-casual outfits. And with so much wear, it was expected that they would eventually come apart. I've gone back to Baker's to see if they had the same shoes or maybe something similar but no cigar. And I've been looking. For quite some time now. I bought these wooden clog sandals from Aldo about two months ago that I thought would be an adequate replacement but man, they freaking hurt my feet! I think they need to be one size bigger but I had them shipped cos they didn't have them in the store and blah blah blah lazy lazy lazy. So to get to the conclusion of this story, I finally found some sandals that I like and are sooooooooo COMFORTABLE. I'm not 100% happy with the way they look but they're good enough. The leather is soft and the height is perfect. The sandals were purchased from Piperlime.

Shoes: Too Small, Too Big

I FINALLY got my snowboard boots! Hurrah to thaht. I was so excited. Thanks to Miss LP for going through all the trouble! I owe her something. Not sure what yet but I'll think of something. Maybe something along the lines of chocolate since she gave up chocolate for Lent and tomorrow is EASTER! I did a big no-no and ordered my boots on E-BAY. I wasn't sure if they would fit but for 70 bucks, I figured I could sell them if they didn't. I know. I need to learn that money does not grow on trees. Just on my parents and big poppa's trees. Haha! KIDDING. Or am I? So I was hoping for a good week or two that the shoes would fit. And when I tried them on, the tip of my big fat toes were pretty much scraping the edges of the shoe. I was like OH NO! It was a bit too small! But you know what? I think it'll be ok. I just have to walk around the house with them on one whole day to really get a better feel. On the same day I picked up my boots from LP, big poppa bought himself some new Converse sneakers. He tried on a pair at urbn that I knew deep down were half a size too big but he somehow managed to convince himself that they fit. Whatevs. So he ended up getting them. When we got home, we both tried on our new footwear and went prancing around in them. It was then that he realized that his shoes maybe were a bit too big. After contemplating for two weeks regarding whether or not he wanted to exchange them, he decided that, you know what, I think it'll be ok. Gee, now that sounds kinda familiar.

My new Forum Baseline snowboard boots. It's a huge workout just trying to get those suckers on. I can NOT wait for the next winter season. I've got nothing but snowboard trips planned up the wazoo. My ultimate goal is to go at least once each month from December to April. It's pretty far-fetched but a girl can dream right?

I tried to pose in my boots but the dogs kept thinking we were trying to play with them or something. Look at my cute puppy Tino. He's like seven years old but I still consider him my puppy.

Look at me doing toe-side! I went all dorky and put my goggles on. I'm so amazingly happy that I finally picked up toe-side. It was really frustrating for all of us that we couldn't do it before. And now we can! We're carving that ice now! Maybe I can master jumps next season! Hah!

Shoes: Kate Spade vs Uggs

I'm still searching for the perfect rainboots. I decided that the burberry ones weren't very practical since they were all white. That just screams GO-GO! So now I'm down to two pairs that I both really like. One is white with red daisy-like flowers that are freakin' cute and the other is a more practical brown leather boot with sheep-skin lining that should help with the brisk Seattle weather. How does a girl go about choosing between two such great items. Maybe I'll get the bf to get me one as an X-mas gift and then I'll purchase the other for myself! But would I REALLY need TWO pairs of rainboots?

Shoes: Burberry

I love me some rain boots.

I hate it when I find a pair of shoes that i JUST have to have because they are too darn HAWT HAWT HAWT!!! I will be taking a little vacay to Seattle early next year, and a friend who lives there suggested that I be prepared with some rain proof gear. Excellent! That just means I have an excuse to go shopping. But I'm already suffering financial repercussions early in the game. Other than looking at getting a North Face jacket cuz that's such a northernly thing to do, I plan on decking out my gross feet and a majority of my thick calves in some super hawt looking rain boots: aka GALOSHES. Nordstrom is EVIL! Too bad my friends uncle doesn't work there anymore. BOOO!

Shoes: Uggs

I love me some Uggs.

My personal rules of fashion:
1. It's great to be different and have your own thing going on.
2. It's also ok to to see what you like and be a copy cat.
3. Last season? Who cares! I likey ... I wear.
4. It doesn't match? Even better!
5. Even though I'm chubby, I'll STILL wear stripes ... PROUDLY!

So although the whole Ugg craze has died down, I still absolutely love the pair that I have. It's raggedy and it's been through the salty ice slush of Chicago ... but it survived! When the Houston weather witnessed its first cold front, I couldn't wait to put them on and strut around town with them! And as I was perusing Nordstrom's online shoe section (the main reason why I know I really am a female even with my butch-like demeanor), I came across these Ugg boots that I just could NOT take my eyes off of. I really really like them! I even bugged my boyfriend about getting them for me. But he said no before I could even finish the second g in the word Ugg ... Boooooo ... so now I just get to sit ... and look ... Oh how happy I could be if I were rich.
