OMGawdy I love H Mart! This Korean grocery store is a tad bit better than the Chinese/Vietnamese grocery stores in Bellaire. H Mart is pretty big and it's clean. Well, cleaner than most. The prices there are majorly competitive and they have the kinda things that I like to use WHEN I decide that I want to cook. The main reason I go there would prolly be for their awesome food court selection. My fave is Toreore. It's a Korean fried chicken place. My favo is the garlic fried chicken. SO SO SO very GUT GUT GUT! Big poppa and I are literally slapping each other's hands trying to swat the other from eating all the chicken. It normally takes a while to get your order cos they marinate and fry it after you place your order. So your chicken is piping hot when you receive it. I normally like to roam around checking out and grabbing all sorts of knick knack's and snacks. A friend of mine came with me one time and suggested some things to me. There were these crackers that she and her sister loved so I grabbed a box. Turns out I like them just as much. And so does my co-workers, my mom and this stranger who asked to try one while in the elevator. True story! I don't make these things up.
Shin Ramen. The best instant noodles EVAR! Even though it's super spicy. Good thing my spice tolerance has increased dramatically over this past year.
There's this really cute bakery to the right when you first walk in. It's called Tous les Jours and they have great looking cakes as well as an asortment of breads. I'm not liking their prices too much though. It's a bit high.
Korean pears are the best! I don't like regular pears much. But these are yum! Especially when my mom peels and cuts them for me.
The best garlic fried chicken. Ever. And it comes in such a cute box. I also tried the sweet and spicy flavor and it wasn't so great.
This place used to have this spicy marinated pork but they got rid of it on the menu. Sucks man!
Shrimp and mayo. Sounds gross? Maybe to you. But not me. I lurves it.
Kimchi. The Korean staple. Every Korean has a jar of this in their fridge. Some other Asians also love this stuff. Big poppa and I aren't such big fans. But check out this whole section at H Mart dedicated to kimchi.

Snacks galore!
My taste buds decided that they just had to try some of the cakes from Tous les Jours. I got myself a tiramisu. I didn't like it. It tasted very cream cheesy instead of marscapone-y. I gave my dad a mocha and didn't get to try it.
They gave out free calendars to people when they check out. These are a lot cuter than the ones I usually get from other Asian grocery places.
