I can't believe all these babies in my life are growing so fast! It almost felt it was just yesterday that i was watching baby tyler as her mama tore into pound after pound of crabs. Speaking of shellfish, i'm currently swollen faced from it. Good thing i'm not vain. I came to work looking like i had been crying for three days straight. In these situations, i don't feel bad for myself. I just laugh at how ridiculous i look. Oy! Baby tyler was such a good girl at her birthday party. She kept getting passed around from one grandparent to another. They had some good food which big poppa and i wasted no time helping ourselves to. Queenie always does a great job hosting and decorating and it's obvious that she puts a great deal of time into everything that she does. She kinda reminds me of myself but she's prolly a little more extreme. When i get a crazy idea going, i spend night and day trying to make it come to fruition. I feel bad when this happens cos big poppa gets dragged into helping. But that's what great bf's are for right?!? We were kinda bad guests at the bday party. During gift opening time, which is my least favorite thing to have to sit through cos it's just so boring, big poppa and i went out to the pool (party was at a neighborhood clubhouse) and pretty much went to sleep on the lounge chairs. By the time we came to, gift time was over and some people had already left. Oops! Haha.

Trippin': Cairns - Cape Tribulation Beach
For lunch, we stopped at cape tribulation beach to eat. Everyone chose either a steak of some sort, the barramundi which is a type of fish, or if you're like me and did not like either choices then you were given a vegetarian item which ended up being a pasta dish. Food was pretty blah. I have to say, i was not impressed at all by anything we ate in australia. Except for this singaporian place that my mom's cousin took us. That was off the hook! It was prolly the only place i ate at where i wished houston had a place like it. I'm gonna guess that it was called temasek but i failed to jot the name down in my delerium of overly flava-flav food. Ugh so freaking GOOD. Best food we had eaten during our entire stay thus far. But this post isn't about temasek, it's about cape beach. Food equals awful. After lunch, we all walked down to the beach. This was the location of captian's cook landing and his discovery of australia. You can see the reefs growing out of the waters and right up onto the beach. It was really pretty. And kinda cold. So swimming was not an option. But even it were, who wants to swim for fifteen minutes and then get dried up and changed. The pitfalls of a tour. It was still nice though cos beaches are some of my favorite landscapes.
