Restaurant: Moon Tower Inn

3004 Canal St
Houston TX. 77002

After coming back home from j-hole, i was in the mood for some game meat. Perfect time to try Moon Tower Inn! All they have there is beer and hot dogs made from all kinds of different types of game meat. Dining outside is the only option. There's covered seating as well as tables set up in the huge yard area. For those who want entertainment, there's horseshoe and basketball available. Everyone ordered either the lamb or the venison. I had the lamb and really liked it especially with the sambal mayo and black pepper ketchup. It was spicy but good! Wonder woman and I attempted to play a game of horseshoe but i think we were dumb and stood really really far from our target so it made the game almost seem impossible.

Event: Warrior Dash 2011

After the craziness that I've been through, there's no doubt that I think twice about anything that I do, especially when it comes to the physical stuff. I'm more careful and possibly even allow fear and uncertainty to overcome me. Because you know what? There's no way I want to go through THAT again. Yes i am scared and no i do not want to do it was my motto for 2010. 2011 has mos def been changing that fact for me. I went snowboarding again for the first time and all the stress and worries that I held onto at first was replaced by this euphoric feeling as I realized how much i had been holding back. I was stronger than i thot i was. And whilst some may think nothing of it, I took another step and signed up for the Warrior Dash. For me, it was something. The thoughts i had in my head of falling or slipping and breaking or twisting something would make it's round on a daily basis. Now looking back at the race, it really wasn't so extreme. But it could have been! At least I can say i've done it before cos i'm done with anything involving mud. It was just gross and very troublesome trying to get cleaned up and changed. Everyone wore old shoes and donated them afterward. It doesn't make any sense to me but if they can make use of them then i am all for it. Big poppa and I also decided to wear our kick ass and hit girl costumes from halloween. It was so hot and big poppa did the entire race with a mask on. What a trooper! I was hoping to do the costume contest but because we did the race on a sunday and we were in dallas, we had to basically leave right after the race so we could get ready to head back to houston. Pooey. Into the dumpster our costumes goes. We all had a good time. But it would be the last time.
