During our short time in PV, big poppa and I par-took in some ATVing. We were ATVirgins and it was mos def worth every peso. The ride started out in the middle of the town and then on to the jungles. Big poppa and I rode together and only had to pay about seventy USD. What a bargain! According to some veteran riders who rode with us, it was a lot better than when they did the ATV excursion in Cancun. We went with Wild Vallarta. The folks there were incredibly cool and awesome. There was lots of riding time and they took us to three different stops in the jungle. It was mostly touristy stops but that's no big deal to us. I had a super blast. It took a few seconds to get used to maneuvering an off-terrain vehicle, but once you realize that it will pretty much run over anything, zoom zoom away! It's actually really hard to make turns. You gotta put a little muscle into it. My fave was when we were crossing a river. They had us stop about 50 feet away, and one by one, each person would gun it as fast as they could into the water. LOVED IT! If you ever go to PV, you MUST do the ATV with WILD VALLARTA. They've got MY booty shaken approval.

First stop: some refreshment/bar palapa in the middle of the jungle. I guess it's there specifically for stops such as thus. For the price of one drink, you get access to the cold springs below. Alas, there was no time to swim even if I wanted to.
Next stop: tequila farm for a brief talk and tasting session. Doncha just love drinking and driving!
Good tequila is made from the agave plant. It looks like a giganto pine cone. Supposedly, this is what makes tequila more premium and less likely to mess you up like the cheap stuff. I've seen what Cuervo does to people and lemme tell ya, it ain't pretty!
If I prolly don't remember incorrectly, they're planted in the ground for some such time and then it's baked in the outdoor oven for who knows how long.

Last stop: over-priced restaurant. I had the mentality that I was some sort of big baller in Mexico and could afford anything and so I ordered all this food without even bothering with checking the price. How much could it really cost? The place was like in the middle of nowhere. Well, a plate of shrimp and chicken kebobs was like fifty buckaroos. AMERICAN DOLLARS! Rip off! The food wasn't bad but it was hard to enjoy it with big poppa giving me dirty looks the entire time.
