Six Seven is a restaurant located in the pricey Edgewater Hotel and it offers waterfront dining! The view is spectacular. When the weather is appropriate, they have a patio for outdoor dining and that would have been my choice if it weren't so darn cold. We had breakfast there since you could enjoy the scenery at a cheaper price. I had an all American breakfast of eggs and sausage while the bf opted for a seafood omelet (it had lobster in it!).
Vancouver is known for having super fresh and super delectable sushi, so I knew that I had to choose a sushi restuarant to have dinner at while we were there. I also wanted to find a place that offered kaiten-zushi style sushi. People in America know it as conveyor belt sushi whereas foreigners in Japan call it sushi-go-round. In Australia people call it Sushi train. In the end it's all the same. Sushi is placed on a conveyor belt on different colored/designed plates and each plate will represent a different price. As the sushi goes around on the conveyor belt, you grab the plate that has what you want. At the end of your meal, you will have accumulated a stack of plates and the server will add them up with the appropriate price. Doesn't that sound neato! I decided to go with Tsunami Sushi because they have their own unique twist to the whole conveyor belt conecpt. Instead of a conveyor belt, they have connecting boats that flow along in a canal of water. Such a cute idea! The only thing that made me sorta wrinkle my nose was that we saw some items go round and round and round. Poor unwanted sushi! So make sure to keep an eye on the sushi chef and grab only the items that they just made and set out. And then after you eat, you can walk your meal off by shopping at all the terrific stores on Robson St. Talk about have the perfecting location!
I super duper really LOVE The Perishers. They're a Swedish indie-rock band whose music has been featured in a bevy of T.V. shows and commercials. I was first introduced to their music when a friend of mine told me to visit one of his web-blogs and he had Sway playing in the background. I was instantly hooked and had it on repeat for weeks. That was 2-3 years ago. Lately, I've had Come Out of the Shade playing over and over again in my car, in my room and on my ipod. It's such calming and relaxing music. I find the lead singers' voice to have this incredibly soothing effect on me. I don't even know what the lyrics are about but I'm sure it's either about perfect love, unrequited love, please forgive me love, let's get back together love or even let's be more than friends love. Their songs are bound to influence many spontaneous slow dancing moments among couples. You might recognize Heart from the Saturn car commercials. I'm sometimes shocked that more people aren't familiar with the group. They deserve and need major recognition for their wonderful music. Those Swedes got the coolest names!

As with most of my other blogs/photos, I tend to run a bit behind since I like to post my favorites first. In a flash back to Valentine's, the bf and I celebrated the over-rated and market driven so called holiday with the cousin and his gf. Houston's sounded like a good place to go to since they don't accept reservations and the double date plan didn't form until late. The place has great food and I had the grilled chicken burger last time which was yums! Please don't make fun of me for ordering a chicken burger at such a nice place. Haha. I had the pork chop this time and texture wise is was perfect. Seared to a crisp on the outside and super tender on the inside. It was bathed in a butter sauce which made me a feel a little sick even though I LOVE butter. My favorite is their french fries. They're super skinny and be sure to ask for this special mayo sauce that they have because it's sooooo gooooood! We got there pretty early and only had to wait about an hour. I know right. Only? It was about 9:30pm when we left and there was still a pretty large crowd waiting their turn to have their lovey dovey dinner. One person told us they had already been waiting for TWO hours. Good lordy!
