Santi White used to go by Santogold but then some jeweller by the name of Santo Gold threatened to sue. The world is retarded. Seriously. Henceforth, she goes by Santigold. Santo Gold jewelry people, was it worth it? (Let me work it ... I put my thing down, flip it and reverse it.) This lady here has co-written and collaborated with a slew of great artists. Kanye. Jay-Z. Lily Allen. Ashlee Simpson. Pharrell Williams. She also opened for Coldplay on many of the Viva La Vida Tour stops. Rolling Stone named her L.E.S. Artistes track number two on their list of 2008 singles of the year. You know what song came in first? That craptastic Single Ladies song by Beyonce. Are you frackin' kidding me?!? That's some mighty bull shizzle right there. Ugh. Can. Not. Stand. Miss. Knowles. That. Song. Really. Socks. Santogold. Rocks.

Daily Shots: Southwest
Ack! Been slacking on the blogs. February always seems to be a slow month. I've been very lazy and not much has happened. Actually, a lot has happened but just not in Houston! Happy hours have been lacking and my New Year's resolution to stop selling out on my girlfriends isn't going so well. It's hard! You get off of work and the only thing you can think about is going home and vegging out. Weekends just don't seem long enough anymore. I can barely find time to get my personal things done. I guess I'll just have to try a bit harder. Since this intro has nothing to do with the blog, I'll get to the point. I hate flying. I really do. I get all fidgety and restless and it's just plain frackin' uncomfortable. I think it's cos my legs are short and my feet (toes to be exact!) barely graze the floor. Ugh! I don't want to be super tall, but a couple of additional inches to my height wouldn't hurt! Since it's hard for me to sleep on planes, I normally am equipped with all kinds of junk. My DS, music, magazines and of course my camera. To pass time, I'll take a dozen or so photos of whatever it is that's outside my window. Oh yeah. It's ALWAYS the window seat. I won't have it any other way. And I try to only stick with Southwest or Continental.
Goodness. The view was just gorgeous that day!
Here is a series of shots as the plane began it's descent into the clouds.
It's crazy. The clouds were so thick that not one bit of the beautiful blue sky was visible to the folks on the ground. This was what was waiting for us at our destination. Brrr! It's miles of ice, ice baby!

Trippin': Seattle - Pike Place Market
For some reason, these pictures never made it onto my blog, and it's been MORE than a year ago. I was trying to find my Pike Place pics for someone who is planning on visiting Seattle and they were no where to be found on my blog! So I had to laboriously look for them on my external and then do the whole editing, uploading and resizing jig. It's a whole job in itself but I love it! We got to Pike Place a little early. Many of the vendors weren't even there to begin setting up yet. We walked around a bit and then decided to plant ourselves near that Pike Place Fish Co. You know. Where they skillfully toss and wrap fish into paper. What can I remember happening? Let's see. Someone ordered a whole fish. It was tossed and wrapped before I noticed and so I missed the shot. Pooey forreals! And then a big groupa Japa's swarmed in for some peace sign throwing pictures. Gotta love that! This one lady posed with one of the workers who held a fish out so that she could pretend to kiss it. Right before the picture was taken, he smashed the fishy's trout pout into her pursed mouth and the crowd roared with laughter. The girl was a good sport but she was ptewing for awhile afterwards. Gross! Good thing that didn't happen to me. I don't even like cooked fish! I also wanted a picture with the worker man so I gamely stood there while he pressed the fishy's mouth into my cheek. Eek!

Musik Mundi: Lily Allen
Most of you are aware of who Lily Allen is as well as her antics which she prolly may be better known for. Mister Zoobz just wrote a little something about her and mentioned her new stuff ain't bad at all. I've only listened to a few songs but so far, I give it a thumbs up! It's absolute fun electro-pop and I love that she sings with an accent. That means I get to sing along with a faux British accent myself! Yays to that! I'm surprised that her new album is as good as it is. Either she works well under heavy influence or she's got herself a super miracle worker producer. There are a lot of good songs but the one below is prolly my fave so far.
