I hate it when I stumble upon something that makes my eyes go big and round like flying saucers because then I really know that whatever it is that has caused that reaction from me is something that I will ultimately end up whining about for weeks on end. Fried egg that's sunny side up. That's the only way I want my eggs. And a stack of pancakes. WITH butter. MC Solaar is a French hip hop artist whose real name is Claude M'Barali. I wasn't planning on ever blogging about this song but after hearing it on three different occasions, I thought to myself, it is time.

1st time hearance: Sex And The City - When Carrie Bradshaw was running around Paris.
2nd time hearance: The Hills (I know! Smack me NOW!) - When Lauren Conrad was running around Paris.
3rd time hearance: Olympics - When they were going through the background and history of one of the female French swimmers.

I love this song. I was jamming to it for like a whole week when I first heard in on SATC! It's got this awesome beat and great background melody. Because I heard to this song while seeing Carrie and Lauren running around Paris, every time I listen to it, I imagine myself in some cool clothes, prancing around and being all cute and stuff. The bf rolled his eyes at first listen. So I'm guessing not everyone will take a liking to it. I know the guy looks all tough and machismo on the album cover but just listening to him spit his rap in FRENCH, pathetique! You ain't no gangsta, foo!

Priscilla Ahn is a very talented musician, a singer-songwriter, and a person who is capable of playing a multitude of instruments such as the piano, guitar, harmonica and a few others. I saw her perform on this talk show where she was singing, playing the guitar and then there was this harmonica placed in front of her on this goofy contraption that wrapped around her head. Half-way through her performance she stopped singing and started whipping her mouth back and forth on the harmonica. Uggh. And she's younger than me! Makes me feel like such an under-achiever sometimes. Actually, ALL the time! I quickly perused her album and only came out liking one song. It's not quite fair of a critique but I'm giving the rest of her stuff on this album a rating of sorta boring.
