Musik Mundi: Unkle Bob

Unkle Bob is a band from the UK. Judging by the name, you would think it was a country bumpkin group. But nope. Their sound is totally UK. Their song Swans was on an old episode of Grey's Anatomy. The beginning of the song is a bit slow and drags along. The ending however, is KILLER. You've got an explosion of strings with great melody. And then BOOM. The song ends. I sorta wish they used more of the ending part throughout their song.

Trippin': Avon - Home-Cooked Meal

On our first night at the rental, someone mentioned something about how everyone would be taking turns cooking for the whole group. What?!? Uh-oh. That's no good. I mean, I can cook comfortably for big poppa and the fam but prolly not confidently enough for a big group of people who are quite skillful in the kitchen. Fortunately, for me and for everyone else, my turn never came up. Phew! Fabu made pasta with Italian sausage one night and Jack and Jill made some baked chicken with yams and asparagus. On the other nights, it was good 'ole eating out cos we were exhausted! Man. Seriously. I'm craving snowboarding like no other. Someone in Vancouver said New Zealand is the place to go right now. Hmmm. Big poppa?

While everyone else is busy helping out, big poppa naps while I wander around snapping away. Hey. Do you what you do best. Know what I mean?!?

Trippin': Avon - Snowman

Poor Miss Mascara fell ill right before our snowboard trip and wasn't feeling a hundred percent on our first day of boarding and decided to stay back at the house to recuperate. Transam, who deserves the BF of the year award, took her to see the doctor. When our group got back to the house later that evening, we came back to a frosty surprise! Mascara and Transam made the most perfect looking snowman that I've ever seen. The three spherical layers were literally dimensionally correct all around. I think everyone was really impressed by their work. They've got some great hand molding skills doncha think! They used mushrooms for the eyes and a sliver of bell pepper gave it a friendly smile. Ironically enough, the house had this cowboy hat with a star in the front laying around and so they plopped it on top of the snowman's head. Way to represent TEXAS! The snowman was such a big hit that there was about fifteen minutes of picture taking before everyone finally went inside to wash up and get ready for dinner.
