One of flower child's old classmate, who currently lives and works in the DC area, was completely gracious enough to schlep us around our last two days there. She made reservations for us to have brunch at Cafe Du Parc. Something about the foie gras platter being really good. I'm not particularly fond of foie gras mainly due to the whole force feeding of duck/goose to fatten up the liver. You don't gotta eat everything in the world right? Luckily they ran out. Or that's wut they said but i don't believe them for some reason. This restaurant is located in a super lavish hotel right down the street from the white house. I won't get into the food cos the only thing i can think about was our RUDE ARSE WAITER. We had a group of eight people and i admit, we may have stayed there for a little bit just chatting after we had finished our meal. Suddenly, our waiter was telling us we had to leave cos we were taking up his table. Seriously? Who says that to customers? It's okay to think it and complain back in the kitchen but to say it directly to us? And to make me more pissed, there was a big table of white ladies who had been there just as long as we had and were still there enjoying their time. That's right i'm totally throwing the race card out there. I spoke with the manager who happened to be asian and i literally got no sympathy from him. Just a response of i'll be sure to talk to him about that. Wutever. I hate you and your foie gras platter.
